Riesterer's Halloween Cookies
Was in Riesterer's bakery in West Hempstead today. Lots of Halloween-themed cookies and other goodies.
Reasonable prices. Many of the cookies were $1.00 or $2.00. The $2.00 cookies are pretty big. Small pumpkin pies are $2.95.
I got a Frankenstein cookie for $2.00. Top row in the pic right below. It was good. Filling.

I ordered a cake 4 days before a Bridal Shower event. It was supposed to be a yellow cake, with cannoli filing, and the frosting was supposed to be in black and white, with a damask look. When I came to pick up 2 hours before the event, the cake decor was horrible. It was supposed to have a stenciled damask buttercream design on it, but it was all smeared. I was really upset so they said that they were going to fix it. I came back a 1/2 hour before the event, and it was even worse. They took off the buttercream design and airbrushed the design on the cake. It was also all smeared and looked horrible. At the party every had black die all over hand, and dresses. I am sorry to write this but I really think they should get a better cake decorator. It is too bad since I know that this bakery is famous for good tasting cakes.
